4 Inspired Ideas For A Glamorous Fall Wedding

The days of Summer will soon be coming to a close, which means fall is right around the corner.  So what better way to celebrate than with a fall wedding, right? There's so much you can do with the colors, centerpieces, favors and food to bring that seasonal element into your lavish wedding.  Here are a few irresistible fall trends that are so fun and chic!

Color Palette

Color can define the bride (You!) and the theme of your spectacular wedding.  It can set the tone you want to achieve at the wedding ceremony and reception.  With so many vibrant and luscious fall hues to pick from, you won't know where to begin.

First off, define you.  Are you the timeless, classic bride, the lavish bride or a little bit more modern?  Whatever personality style, there are rich color combos for every bride.  Browns, rich orange, yellows and deep reds fit a more classical bride.  A more luxuriously formal setting might include golds, metallic or luscious purples.  And for the more contemporary bride, you might go with black and burnt orange, yellow, or even Halloween colors!  You can even think outside-of-the-box to select the colors you want, maybe pairing shades of pink and yellow?

All these fall wedding colors sound amazing!  However, just remember to choose the colors that define you because that's what will make your wedding a huge success!

End Zone Entertainment: Tailgating Essentials!

The cool breeze at your back, smell of freshly-grilled BBQ and the sea of team-colored jerseys could only mean one thing, football season!  Fire up those grills and pack those coolers full, because its time for tailgating!  Don't make your next tailgate a drab, fire it up with these four tailgating tips to make your game day a huge success.

Plan Ahead

A little simple planning can go a long way by setting aside ten minutes to decide what's on your tailgate agenda.  Decide what food, decorations and party supplies you'll need for the big game day.  If you're going to the game, remember to pack a large table for food and supplies, store food in plasticware containers for easy access and bring clean up supplies.  Are you going to make this a full out bash at home?  Send football-inspired invitations.  You can easily find personalized invitations online or make them yourself.  Add that tailgating feel in your very own backyard by setting up your lawn chairs, decorations, tables, food and games.  Also, check out your local party supplier for those essential gameday accessories for an easy setup.  Planning ahead will make your gameday a cinch.

Game Day Decorations

A tailgate wouldn't be complete without your favorite teams colors!  Purchase plates, napkins, tablecloths and cups in your team's colors to spice it up and

The Do's & Don'ts of Kids Parties!

Children's parties can be a bit tough, even for a well-seasoned party host. This month, we are going to explore the do's and don'ts of children's parties.

Do Plan Some Type Of Entertainment Or Play Activity

One thing I cannot stress enough is have an activity planned for the children. Even a simple game of pin the tail on the donkey is a good planned activity for a kids party.  You may choose to hire cartoon characters or a magician as a way to entertain the children. You may even rent a big screen tv, so the children can play video games. Whatever you choose, the key is having some type of activity or type of entertainment for the kids.

Don't Be Afraid To Ask For Help

You will need to have a few adults on the party scene to watch the kids.  Don't be afraid to ask other parents to help watch over them.  Most parents will be glad to help out.  You can reciprocate when they throw the next kids party.

Do Expect A Few Messes And Some Tears

Kids will be kids, and the younger ones will spill and make messes.  Be prepared ahead of time to handle these situations. Here's a hint:  If you have the party at your home and you have lightly-colored carpet, don't serve red punch (the tears shed may be your own). Plan your party so that any mess or spilled punch won't matter.  You can always do an outdoor party or rent the local…

5 Tips For Throwing An Outdoor Wedding!

It's that time of year again when wedding ceremonies head outside into the hot summer sun. Women trade heels for sandals and men forgo their jackets. Everyone feels happier, more relaxed, and ready for a breezy ceremony in the sun.

However, taking a wedding ceremony outside, away from the air conditioning, lighting, and even a roof can create some seriously sticky situations. Rain, excessive heat, or a swarm of bugs can quickly turn a picture-perfect memory into one you'd rather forget. But don't worry! There are plenty of ideas to keep you cool and calm on your big day!

1. Time of day. Generally, morning is the most humid time of day, while mid-afternoon is the hottest. This is particularly important if you're planning a midday ceremony. Try to avoid noon, when the sun and humidity are both at their peak and shade is at a premium. Instead, consider a sunset ceremony. As the sun goes down, heat and humidity will go with it, leaving plenty of shade and comfort. Also, with the rich sunlight off to the side, your wedding photos will look stunning!

2. Decor. What works inside doesn't necessarily work outside. Candles, flowers, and other decor can all be doomed when it comes to summer weather. Take candles, for example…

These days, it's all about being yourself. Fitting in is a thing of the past. Young adults define who they are with their choice of music, clothing, and even the cars they drive. So you can imagine the same rings true when high school administrators attempt to make everyone dress the same.  Many graduates looking to express themselves grab a hot glue gun and go to work on their graduation caps.

Now, despite what many will say, decorated graduation caps are here to stay. In every graduating class, there are sure to be a few brave souls who cannot stand fitting in–even for a couple of hours. The results can be quite interesting! Blending into the background is no option for those who decorate their caps, so why not go all the way?! A few highlights:

Excellent statement. I just feel sorry for those sitting behind him!

This bold graduate has no problem letting everyone know his interests!

This graduate designed a cap in honor of loved ones who have passed.

Duct tape, hot glue, sequins–you name it–and it can be found on a graduation cap these days. Some are clever, some touching, and some are downright wacky. All together they represent a group of young adults not afraid to be themselves. So when you see a few crazy creations in the graduation line, don't roll your eyes. Instead, be proud of the brave and bold group of people in line to lead the next generation–even if they are wearing duct tape on their heads.

Valentine's Day Date Tips

For The Lovin' Impaired

Pure romance is in the air this winter. As we're greeted by the dawn of 2010, it's easy to wonder what will happen this Valentine's Day. Instead of wondering, let's make the best of the night whether we're spending it with friends, a sweetheart, or a good book.

Cupid is taking aim this winter and is ready to make this romantic season memorable. Wedding And Party Network is going to help him out (and you as well) with these fun tips for an enjoyable Valentine's Day.

First, decide who will be your company for the evening. For couples, this is an easy one. If you're part of a one-man show, don't feel left out! Valentine's Day isn't just about celebrating a relationship, it's about celebrating love. Here are some suggestions for the evening, whatever your relationship status:

Single: Host a singles-only mixer or "Singles Awareness Day (SAD)" party friends. (Guys Only/Girls Only is a great excuse for some down time with your friends)

Casually Dating: Play up the clichés. Want to move to the next level this day? Personalize your dinner-and-a-movie date with something that your date will find special; a reflection of your feelings is always apropos.

Committed: Be creative! Talk with her friends and family for ideas. They'll know what romantic gesture suits her. The notion of "out of your way to show me you love me" is what tops it off—not just the candy.

Married: If it's a new marriage, being creative is simple. You're still fresh with ideas. After a few years, find a way to show her that the romance is still alive in your relationship. You can bank on that he or she wants to be sure of this.
