You might think that since Halloween is over and Christmas is around the corner that there might not be a ton of ideas for November birthdays, but you're wrong! There are some great ways to celebrate your favorite November friends and family.
1. Fall Hayride
There is so much fun to be had with a hayride-themed party. You can plan it for the kids, or you can plan it for an adult party. If you don't own a farm, then you can probably find a local farm that has hayrides. Call them and ask them if they would be willing to do birthday parties. You will want to pack a lot of blankets with the weather starting to get chilly outside. For food, you can have hotdogs and s'mores- the perfect fall hayride dinner! A bonus would be having some hot cocoa waiting at the end of the hayride. For an adult party, add a little something to the hot cocoa to really get the party started. Adult Hot Chocolate
Servings 4
Ingredients
1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups of skim milk
3 1/2 oz whipped cream vodka
Whipped cream and chocolate syrup for garnish
Instructions
1. In a small sauce pot, on medium heat, add the chocolate chips.
2. Once they start to melt, start pouring in the milk while stirring with a silicone covered whisk. Stir until all melted and smooth.
3. Bring to a low boil, stirring often, and add vanilla, chocolate liqueur, and vodka. Stir and cook for about a minute.
4. Divide among the cups and top it off with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
2. Movember
Movember is a movement that was started around 2004 to help raise awareness and funds on the health issues men face such as prostate cancer and depression. It is celebrated during the month of November, and most men grow out a mustache as a sign of this. So if you want to throw a birthday party that gives towards a good cause, then this is the perfect kind of theme to have. You can have guests wear mustaches, have mustaches for decor, and even a mustache-shaped cake! Everything in mustaches! Instead of gifts, ask guests to donate money to your mo-ment.
3. Basketball
This is the perfect theme for the month of Novemeberbecause this is the start of basketball season! Many basketball enthusiasts will appreciate you throwing this birthday! You can deck the venue or your house out in the birthday girl or boy's favorite basketball team. Whether it be an NBA team, collegiate team, or their school's team, you shouldn't have a problem finding decorations. For the cake, you can make it in the shape of a basketball or, if you wnat to have some more fun, you can have cupcakes with basketballs on them!
4. Starry Night
Starry nights are the best time to go outside and have a fun party. If you have a person who loves the night sky and stars then this is a great theme to have! You can have a theme like you are going into outer space and have a sci-fi feel to it or you can make it like the "Starry Night" painting. With this kind of party, you can host it inside or outside. If you're celebrating someone who loves the more scientific side of outer space, then you might try and get a telescope for them to look into the night sky or have an area for stargazing. For those who love the painting, go group painting together and have some fun painting the famous painting, "Starry Night".
November birthdays can be so much fun to celebrate! Remember who you are celebrating and what their favorite things are, and you will have a blast.
