Are Columbus Horse Carriage Rides Just Weddings?

December 12th, 2008 - Posted by Jamie Adams

I received a question today from a reader from Columbus Ohio named John concerning horse carriage rides. This was his questions: " what if it is not a wedding and I just wanted to take my wife on a carriage ride around downtown for the lights after dinner, is that something you do or does it have to be for weddings only? Just wondering if someone could call me I would love to know. Thanks for your time."

I can see why John might ask this question. After all, people go on and on about how romantic it would be to arrive at wedding in a horse drawn carriage. And many horse carriage providers cater to the wedding industry. However, horse drawn carriages especially in Columbus Ohio are romantic for a multitude of situations: marriage proposals, anniversaries or even special nights out on the town. They can also be fun for families wanting a memorable experience to share.

Ohio as a whole is a great place to find carriage rides for any reason but Columbus has a downtown that is a fantastic place to experience a horse drawn carriage ride. In fact according to the Columbus Dispatch, horse carriage providers, including a horse carriage company from Springfield Ohio, are expanding their services into the Columbus Downtown.  With all that said, the answer is horse carraige rides anywhere are more than just for weddings.  But when you have a place like Columbus, a horse carraige ride after dinner with your wife is a perfect idea.

A horse carriage for weddings is an excellent idea. What sort of ballpark prices are we talking?
