Celebrate With An Under The Sea Baby Shower Theme
It's all about the theme, and this is a great one. Full of surprises that you can actually do, this Under The Sea-themed baby shower will delight all of your guests, especially the mom-to-be.
If you have some netting, you can tack it to a wall and fill it with balloons, draping some across the table. A great idea to make your table part of the decor is to put a colored tablecloth on the table, then a different colored tablecloth on top of the first colored tablecloth, which has been cut with a wave pattern at the bottom. Make sure to have the bottom layer still showing. You can repeat this method to get in all of the colors in your scheme.
On the table, decorate with shells, a treasure chest (even a glass jewelry box open with a string of pearls and a couple of shells will do the trick), and sea-inspired floral arrangements and centerpieces.
One nice touch is to mix Elmer’s glue with a couple of drops of food coloring (we recommend green, purple, and blue) and then paint it onto a glass item, like a candleholder or a hurricane glass. This will create a sea glass effect and make the piece a nice backdrop for the food or gift table.
Find a jug and put out brown paper for people to put a message in a bottle, a.k.a. advice for the new mom and dad. After they’ve written their advice, have them roll, then tie, the brown paper with some twine and put it in the jug.
Even the food can be part of the effect, and it's easy to do, too. Set out pretzel sticks and label it driftwood. Cut out fruit in star shapes and say it's starfish. Put out some carrots and call it crab legs. To really dazzle, whip up some shell-shaped macarons filled with vanilla icing. Put out a jar labeled dinglehoppers and fill it with forks and you're good to serve! To quench guests' thirst, make some Sea Water with 7 Up, pineapple juice, and food coloring.
Everyone wants pics of the new mommy and what better way to do it than with a DIY backdrop? Dip coffee filters in a turquoise colored paint and string them together. You'll need about 20 strands across. Hang them from the ceiling or tie it to a backdrop stand. An alternative is to take three different colored tablecloths (lavender, blue, and turquoise would be great) and cut them into strips, braiding them at the top, with about a foot hanging down. Let the rest hang. Just add props!
Tiny jars with little bath salts make the perfect party favor, as do mini bath bombs or a candle with a shell or corral attached.
This shower is all about the details and you can do it small with great effect, or really pull out all the stops in this under the sea adventure. Whichever way you go, it's sure to please.

Newborn Spring
Baby animals couldn't be cuter and they are extra fitting as the springtime is so full of new life. To incorporate adorable animals into your shower, create a garland of furry friends by stringing up stuffed animals that match your theme colors. Also, use white handkerchiefs to create diapers for each animal and the entire room will be surrounded by cuteness.
For your baby shower cake, your local bakery will have tons of options for a wide-eyed baby animal dessert, like the fun fondant creatures atop cupcakes in the photo below. We adore these egg-shaped scented soaps that come in their own little nest – perfect baby shower favors!
Sweet Taste of Spring
Nothing is sweeter than the smell of spring but candy comes close! Have fun choosing happy candy colors to decorate with. The best part is this decor can double as a snack. Create a tablescape that really pops by pouring loose candies into clear jars and vases of all different sizes. Bundle up baby, it's winter! If you're planning a baby shower during these winter months, why not find a great theme that plays off the season? There are definitely adorable details that you can add to your baby shower during these colder months. Find Inspiration
You know you're going to play off winter and the colder weather for this baby shower. Choose your colors, maybe like a pastel blue or pink paired with white depending on the gender of the baby. Those color combinations also play off the winter theme too. However, focus on some key words. Think about the words like bundle and cold. Next, associate those words with food or baby products.Shower Decorations
For baby shower decorations, think absolutely adorable and usability. The word bundle can be used in many ways. Bundle up because it's cold outside or bundle of joy are both phrases for winter and a baby. Instead of a diaper cake, make a blanket cake with a topper that says Bundle of Joy.
Lay out baby booties so they'll have something to wear during the cooler months, but also serves as shower decor. You can also hang socks from clothes lines up around your venue, baby coats, or onesies. Have framed photos of the parents, or if they've taken any pregnancy photos, set those out. Just remember find great baby items that relate to colder weather and you'll have your decorations. Add a few accents like banners or photos and you'll have an adorable baby shower.
Also, don't forget the mom-to-be and her precious baby warm wishes from a wishing tree. Have a beautiful tree with tags for guests to write warm wishes and to hang on the tree. The family will enjoy this and it can be placed in the baby's room as well.
Baby Shower Food
Most baby showers are late in the afternoon and many people have eaten lunch. The best thing to serve at showers is just appetizers and desserts. The main thing to include for your shower is a hot chocolate bar. It plays off the cold weather theme and is a great detail to add to any party. Make sure to have your hot chocolate ready with all the toppings. Your guests will love it.When planning for a winter baby shower, make sure to find inspiration from what is around you. The cooler weather can definitely be an integrate part of a baby shower. Everyone will love all the lovely details.

Ready to Pop Baby Shower
Planning a baby shower is truly an exciting time for you, the mom-to-be, and her guests. It's a time to celebrate the joy of motherhood and to welcome to new baby into everyone's lives. However, are you looking for a great baby shower theme? One that comes to mind that is great for a little boy or girl is a "Ready to Pop" baby shower and Wedding and Party Network has all the details on how to create this adorable look.
Baby Shower Decorations – Of course, there's that saying "You look like you're about to pop" that mothers hear when they're pretty far along in their pregnancy. So, this baby shower is just a play off that saying. Think about things that pop. However, the first thing you must do is settle on colors. Is it for a boy, little girl, or are you wanting to keep it gender neutral? Honestly, this shower looks best when it's bright, colorful, and you feature different colors.Once you settle on the colors, you can start finding the right table linens, centerpieces, and balloons to include in your shower decor. Keep it simple with the bright colors.
Popping Food – Where you really make this shower shine is with the party food. Again, play off the word "pop". What comes to mind? Popcorn, cake pops, gum balls, suckers with bubblegum inside, pop rocks, rice krispy treats, home-made pop tarts, and soda pop all come to mind. Make this an all dessert shower. Most of the time guests come to showers having already eaten so your food can go to waste. Having an all dessert shower is great to satisfy their sweet tooth and give them something to snack on.
On your dessert table, feature different flavors of popcorn in popcorn tubs that feature your colors. Have your cake pops and pop tarts displayed in a fun way as well. Also, don't forget to set up a candy bar. Feature gum balls in a variety of colors, Blow pops, Pop Rocks, bubble gum, and any other type of candy you can think of. A baby shower cake is a must too.
Pop Quiz – If you want to have shower activities, you can have guests see who can blow the biggest bubble from bubble gum, catch bubbles, or create a pop quiz that features questions on the mother-to-be and pregnancy facts. These games are fun for everyone!
If you're planning a baby shower, make sure it's Ready to Pop for the new mother-to-be and her guests.

Baby showers are full of excitement and love. It's time to celebrate the new addition to the family and to show off love for the happy family. Do this by creating a unique baby shower theme that is full of wonderful party decor, food and an amazing baby shower cake. First, pick a theme that is appropriate for the gender or keep it neutral if the parents plan on waiting to find out the gender. There are various themes like a jungle safari, pretty in pink or a nautical inspired baby shower. Just keep in mind the gender and the style of the family. From there, you can choose the right baby shower decorations, pick the mom's favorite food and find the right party cake that displays the theme. Always find something unique and creative to make this a special time for the new parents-to-be.
A Star Is Born
There are many events out there that let you get creative. You choose a theme and then everything else falls around it. You choose different styles and themes for weddings, special events, bridal showers and of course, baby showers. There are so many cute themes out there for any party that you are planning. However, baby showers have absolutely adorable ones. You can't go wrong with any of the themes. One stands out though and that is "A Star Is Born" baby shower. Wedding and Party Network has great party ideas and tips to make this baby shower a success.
Glitzy Decor – Of course, you want your guests to walk in and immediately get that glamour, Hollywood feel. For the party colors, go with black and an accent of gold. Think of an awards show whenever you are looking for party decorations. Of course, the first place to start is with a red carpet. This is a definite must for any Hollywood themed party.
Set up round tables with black table cloths and get with your local florist to create gold arrangements with maybe hints of stars or even popcorn around the centerpieces. You can visit your party rental store for tables and chairs that are great for this theme. Glitter baby bottles, pacifiers and anything else you think is appropriate and set it on the table. Set out place settings with fun place cards on each table. How you set up the tables will be the main decor for this baby shower.
Also, another fun accent that can be just for the mother-to-be is by creating an awards stage and podium. Of course, she doesn't have to stand at the podium, it can be by her seat and the gift table can be up on the awards stage. Hang big stars and fun lighting around it.
For some other added accents, use mannequins, feathers, tickets, photos and frame them like Hollywood posters, pearls and anything else you can think of when you think of Hollywood.
For The Food – Again, think about what they serve in Hollywood. Think about food that you see in the movies or being served at award shows. Serve different appetizers and a good suggestion is to meet with your caterer. They will provide you with many great ideas that will leave everyone's taste buds wanting more. Also, don't forget about the dessert. A great baby shower cake made shaped into a star with the future star's name on it along with more treats like cake pops, different flavors of popcorn, French macaroons, cupcakes and even different types of candy. The best way to go is with the mom-to-be's favorite foods.
Swag Bags – Another detail that goes unnoticed at any special event are the party favors. Along with any special Hollywood event, they always have swag bags that are filled with great stuff. Therefore, create one for the baby shower. You can fill them with many different items, just get creative and find cute things to fill the bags with. Also, another cute detail is customizing the bags for the shower.
This baby shower is great for the glamour mom. Who doesn't want a taste of Hollywood? This is all about the glitz and glamour. Everyone will truly have a great time and the mother-to-be will love it.

Charming Honey Bee Baby Shower
It's springtime, which means you may be ready to start planning baby showers. Along with hosting a baby shower, comes all the adorable themes that you have to pick from. There are great ones for boys and girls or neutral genders with various themes. What exactly are some great baby shower themes if the parents want to be surprised on their baby's gender? Don't get discouraged on not being able to go with a boy, girl, pink or blue shower. Wedding and Party Network has an adorable baby shower theme that is great for any gender and any mom will love!
So, what's this adorable theme? A charming honey bee baby shower is great for everyone and there are fun little details that go along with it. It's all in the details and how you make this shower stand out to make it a success.Baby Shower Invitations – For any type of invitation, the guests immediately get the feel of what type of even it will be. There are lots of cute sayings that you can put on this party invitation like, "B is for baby" or "Mommy to bee". Just get creative and play off the word bee. Of course, the colors yellow and black are essential on the shower invitation.
Black & Yellow Party Decorations – When you think of bees, you think of them being black and yellow. Therefore, if you're going with this theme, these two colors are a definite must. Make the main focus yellow, since black seems a bit dreary and just add pops of color of black and even gray to the yellow.
For the tablecloths, get yellow and maybe do a black and white polka-dotted table runner. Accent the gift table, food table and anything else you would like with fun floral centerpieces. Be sure to talk with your florist, tell them the theme and they'll definitely come up with great arrangements fit for the shower. Flowers will be an intricate part of your decor, especially since bees love flowers. Also, you can hang adorable bees, paper lanterns and yarn poms from the ceiling. For this shower, party decor should be kept to a minimal. What you will have though will absolutely be perfect.
Shower Party Food – Keep the food light and refreshing, especially if it's during spring or summer. Of course, create a refreshing fruit and vegetable tray with what's in season, tea sandwiches, pasta salad, mini grilled cheese sandwiches, bumble bee cupcakes, shower cake or you can even go with a brunch theme. Keep with appetizers you know everyone will enjoy and especially the mother-to-be. You can even get with your caterer to come up with unique food to serve.
Also, don't forget about the presentation. It's definitely a big part of any shower. Serve the food at varying heights, have fun platters and even create adorable bee toppers to place in the cupcakes and sandwiches. Even have little bumble bees spread throughout the food to add a unique touch.Shower Activities – Of course, with every shower comes the fun and games. However, not everyone enjoys the games. So, for something different, set up a table where guests can decorate onesies for the baby. It's easy to decorate onesies, even if they aren't creative. Just set out different iron on sets, fabric, puff paint and even beads and sequins to glue on the onesies. Once the guests are done, hang them from a clothes line for all to see.
This baby shower theme is great for any gender and especially if the parents are waiting to find out what the gender is going to be.
