You are planning the perfect special event or party. You want to give your guests something that they can remember how special your event was with memories. However, do better than that. Send guests home with a special party favor that they will enjoy at home. Letting your guest take a favor home with them will truly remind them of how amazing your party or wedding was, it will bring them back to that very moment. As a part of Wedding And Party Network's cake week, we've found wonderful wedding or party favors that you can do with cake and other sweets! How fun and tasty will that be for your guests to take home with them?

Wedding Cake Tower – What's a wedding cake tower you're asking? Well, it's basically sugar cookies stacked in the form of a wedding cake. All you do is take 3 sugar cookies in a large size, 3 in a medium size and 3 in a smaller size. Ice each one of them with white icing and then stack them according to size. It will create a tier effect that looks like a wedding cake.

Place these in beautiful plastic containers and tie it up with a ribbon. These wedding favors will make absolutely wonderful wedding favors, as well as providing an amazing presentation.

Cupcakes In A Jar - Everyone enjoys cupcakes. Well, why not serve them in a jar for a tasty treat they can take home? All you do is find cute jars, bake cupcakes according to directions and find some colorful icing and ribbon. After the cupcakes have cooled, layer the cupcake then icing and add some sprinkles or whatever else you'd like in the jar.

As part of cake week, you can watch our how-to video  below. You can use whatever type of cake mix you would like and even dye it with food coloring to get the colors of your event. Also, do the same thing with the icing. That way, if you have more than one color to your party or wedding theme, you can combine the two to create a favor fit for just that. To finish it off, tie a fun ribbon on top of the jar!

Themed Cookies -Decorative cookies are always great favor ideas. Whether you are wanting to create wedding cookies or party cookies, your local bakery will be able to fix them up. If you're planning a wedding, let wedding cake shaped cookies be part of your favor. Are you planning a beach themed party? Well, make fun flip-flop or beach ball cupcakes that are colorful and fun!

Tasty Favors – There are actually tons of ideas out there for using food as part of your favors. You can use chocolate truffles and featured them in a cute little box all tied up with ribbon. How divine does that sound?

Are you planning a summer through fall wedding? Is it outdoors? Well, serve up honey in jars that would make such a cute favor! Honey, chocolate truffles, candy and even doughnuts would all make delightful treats that your guests will love!

There's no doubt about it, if you send your guests home with tasty treats as part of their party or wedding favor, they'll definitely remember your event. Whenever they use your favor at home, they'll definitely think of you. Stay tuned for our final day of cake week!

Well, here we are, with 2 months to go before our wedding. I'm calm, for the most part. So, since everything is planned, I thought I'd tell everyone on all the little details of our wedding. We, and when I see we I mean me, have everything planned. Also, I like to DIY a lot of things with our wedding being one of them. Wedding invitations are mailed out so I'm ready for RSVPs to start pouring in(hopefully) and finish the last details of our wedding. Here is what "I" have chosen for our wedding and WE are both excited and can't wait for it to get here!

Wedding Colors: I always knew I wanted pink, it's my favorite color. So, pink ended up being the main color with accents of cream, black and a bit of gray. Pink and cream will be our main colors. They are featured in wedding invitations, programs, centerpieces, bouquets and pocket squares.

Black comes in with the bridesmaids. I had zero luck finding any bridesmaid dresses that I loved and we're not ridiculously expensive, so I decided to have the girls pick their own dress. Since black is the easiest color to match, I went with that. There is a little gray in our wedding invitations and our bird seed packages, which I love it paired with everything, so I may try to incorporate it elsewhere.

Wedding Location: Of course, one of my earlier posts explains how we settled on Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, AR. I'm still so excited I picked it and can't wait to see it in the springtime with all the beautiful flowers. Now, I'm just hoping for a bright and sunny day with no rain.

Dancing & Drinks: While down in Hot Springs, we checked out a few locations for our wedding reception. In the end, we chose The Porterhouse for our reception. It features 3 rooms that will offer a place for eating, dancing and playing pool. I love how the room looks and think it will portray our wedding. Hopefully, our guests will love the room and the food that will be provided.

The Flowers: Once I started the wedding planning, and I saw pictures of peonies and hydrangeas, I knew I wanted those for my wedding flowers. I love them. A single peony will serve as the bridesmaid bouquets, peonies and hydrangeas will create my wedding bouquet. They will adorn every table as centerpieces at the reception.

I threw in a few branches and lace to create beautiful finishing touches for the wedding. Although, I did throw some carnations in there to represent my sorority flower and use them for the flower girl's kissing ball and corsages. I can't wait to see everything together!

Let Them Eat Cake: There will be a wedding cake, groom's cake and mini cupcakes! We figure our guests will be up moving around a lot so mini cupcakes are great to pop in your mouth and go. We actually have chosen 6 different flavors to fit every taste bud that are sooo yummy!

Of course, there had to be a wedding cake for cutting purposes and it's a simple 2-tiered cake with a feather cake topper. I forgot to mention that I love feathers and have incorporated them into a centerpiece, corsages, cake and my reception dress. Bart isn't a big fan like me.

The thing I'm really excited about, because I thought it'd be a nice surprise for Bart, is his groom's cake. A fun 3D sport's cake featuring a St. Louis Cardinals hat on a baseball field. Hopefully he'll love it! I love sweets and can't wait to eat all the delicious flavors that we'll have at the reception.

Thank You For Coming: For our wedding favors, we have chosen personalized koozies, setting up a candy buffet and having a photobooth. So excited about everything! That might have been my biggest problem during the planning process, I needed to have restraint. I love photobooths, our fun props and the fact that one of the pictures will go in our guest book and another picture will be something the guest can take home with them. The koozies have our names and the candy is more for looks, but I'm sure people will enjoy it too.

Of course, this isn't all of our details. There's the wedding dress, bridal party gifts, photography and all the little details that I've included in our wedding that I love. We can't wait for it to all come together and for the day to get here!

Are you planning an environmentally friendly wedding? If you are, being Eco-friendly must really be important to you and the groom. You want to show the importance to your guests what being Eco-friendly means to you and how you incorporate it into your life. Showing them how you do it, may want them to try to incorporate it into their life. What is the best way to do this? Send them home with a "green" party favor.

Seed Packets: Providing seeds, such as plants or flower seeds in environmentally friendly packaging will definitely get your message across. Your guests will be able to take home their favors and actually plant them in their very own home.

Trees and plants help the environment and placing them all in a recyclable packaging will convey your message of help saving the environment.

Potted Plants: If you're hosting a rustic wedding or party, potted plants can not only serve as great decor, but also a parting gift as well. A wedding outdoors will look great with adorable potted plants.

The guests have probably been eying them all night and come to find out, they get to take them home! They'll absolutely love the idea that they'll be able to take this wedding favor home and place it out in their home. Every time they look at it, they'll think of you.

Donate: Another great favor idea for a wedding or party is to make a donation in honor of your guests. Whether you make a donation to a charity or local foundation that you support, your guests will love that there is a donation out there in their name.

It's a great way to offer support to any foundation through your event, get it's name out there and maybe even recruit some more supporters. Having donations serve as your favor will give so many benefits to the foundation and your guests.

All- Natural Totes: If you're planning an out-of-town wedding, give your guests will an all-natural welcome bag. An organic tote bag filled with natural ingredient filled personal care products will have your guests being so grateful that they came! However, you may think that your guests won't realize that their totes are organic.

So, include a little note in the bag explaining the contents and the importance of "going green". Your gift bag can even go with whatever theme you're going with for your party of wedding. Guests will love this Eco-friendly favor.

These 4 wedding and party favor ideas for an Eco-friendly event will be a true hit at your next event. However, there are so many more ideas like soy candles, honey, organic tea or organic candy. If it's for a birthday party, let children create their own party favor out of recyclable items. Personalizing these favors to fit your theme for your wedding or party will be truly ideal! You'll be introducing your guests to how you live your lifestyle so maybe they can incorporate it within theirs. Environmentally friendly wedding favors will be a huge success and help provide a clean environment.

Did you know that the average wedding costs over $23,000? While there is no shame in spending more or less than this, the averaged wedding costs can still add up quickly. Most brides overshoot their wedding budget goals by as much as 15%! To avoid breaking the bank with your wedding planning, here are some budget-friendly tips for brides-to-be!

Wedding Budget Tip 1:  Avoid The Busy Season

The majority of weddings occur between May and October. In fact, October is the new June. Late fall weddings and winter weddings are beautiful and allow brides to reduce costs by catching vendors and wedding supplies when they're not in great demand!

Also, consider marrying on a Friday or throughout the week. Marrying on a weekday may be less traditional, but it's a fun and unique way to make your ceremony special (and save money!). Weekend weddings are great but reception halls charge the most for Saturday evening weddings. By marrying on a Friday, you'll be able to save on the reception costs, enjoy great options for the ceremony location, and spend a three day weekend with your groom!

Wedding Budget Tip 2:  Pass Up The Dessert Tray

Wedding cakes are a huge reception expense. Since this is the most important piece at the reception, no bride wants to cut it out completely. Instead, opt for a smaller wedding cake. Also consider a cupcake wedding cake. This tasty trend allows guests to enjoy a small portion of the same great flavor. The biggest treat for you? Cupcake cakes usually run about $60 compared to hundreds for a traditional wedding cake.

If a smaller version of your dream cake won't feed everyone, consider having a sheet cake of the same flavor along with your wedding cake. An evening of dancing, drinks and good food doesn't leave much room for dessert. Consider passing up extra dessert options which quickly add up (on the hips as well)!

Wedding Budget Tip 3:  Go Green With The Wedding Flowers

Opt for more greenery in the reception arrangements. Most guests won't know which flowers are in or out of season so trim the cost of your wedding flowers by using more greenery. The wedding ceremony flowers are a beautiful addition to the ceremony but remember that this is where guests spend the least amount of time. Most spend more time at the reception so consider putting the budget emphasis on your wedding reception flowers instead.

Wedding Budget Tip 4: Go Green With The Wedding Invitations

In the age of technology and conservation, eco-friendly wedding invitations are a big perk. If you want to send standard wedding invitations, consider replacing the RSVP cards with a note on the invitation that asks guests to RSVP at your wedding website. Wedding websites will save a ton on less important wedding stationery. (Oh, and invitation liners are unnecessary. You're breaking no etiquette by opting out on these.)

Wedding Budget Tip 5:  Double Up With Wedding Favors

Wedding favors are a must-have for most brides according to traditional wedding etiquette. Wedding favors can be practical and functional though! Consider favors that double as place cards or serve a purpose after the wedding. Personalized bottles of bubbles serves as wedding favors and can be used instead of tossing rice or bird seed after the ceremony.

Wedding Budget Tip 6:  Opt For A Cocktail Reception

This is a good way to glam up your reception without spending lots of money on food and decorations. Waiters carrying trays of hor d'oeuvres is a glamorous look and a frugal choice for brides. Many wedding caterers have their own wait staff, so consider hiring a local caterer with wait staff for a glamorous but easy-on-the-wallet reception.

Wedding Budget Tip 7:  Buy The Music, Not The Band

A band at the wedding is always fun, but consider a single musician or a dj instead. Going this route with wedding reception entertainment will save costs simply because you're paying for one person instead of multiple people.

Wedding Budget Tip 8:  Share The Menus

Instead of giving each guest a menu at the reception, opt for one or two per table. These can look elegant when placed between beautiful table settings or when stood on either side of the table's centerpice. This saves paper and printing costs plus adds to the decor of the table.
