Have you heard about the latest wedding reception trend? Candy buffets are all the rage these days. I know! It's a dream come true, right? Indulging on gourmet chocolates and candies only makes the wedding day seem even sweeter.

Jordan almonds have been a longtime favorite wedding favor. Well, these and other candies such as gourmet chocolates, sweetheart mints, gumballs and others have also seen a rise in popularity.

The natural evolution from individual treats has progressed into a candy buffet bar for the wedding reception. This wedding trend is really picking up steam as modern brides search for unique and eye-catching ways to decorate the wedding reception.

Everyone has been to a reception where candy wedding favors were served. There is always someone who wants to "trade up" with people at nearby tables. Then comes the inevitable questions, "May I have yours?" and "Are you gonna eat that?" Well candy buffets are the cure-all to these woes because they deliver the same popular gift while giving guests the option of choosing which and how many.  Your sweet-toothed guests will thank you!

So what do you include on a candy buffet bar? Candy buffet ideas can include gourmet chocolates, specially wrapped mints, gumballs, individual slices of baklava, and candies in personalized wrappers. Depending on the time of year, seasonal candies such as candy canes and candy corn can also be included in a candy bar.

There are no set-in-stone guidelines to follow with the selection here. Just pick the candies that you and your groom love. With those standards, your candy buffet is bound to be a big hit!
