It’s often difficult to come up with first-rate party theme for the pre-teen age girl. A Wigging Out party is a fresh fun party that all the girls will enjoy. Definition of “wigging out” is to become wildly excited and your tween will do just that.
A Wigging Out party consists of the girls trying on all different types of wigs and costumes. This is a form of dress-up but with a mature twist - have a make-up station set up for the girls to try on their wigs. They can create different styles or characters. A costume store can supply you with the wigs as well as many different costumes. Try to find Hannah Montana or That’s so Raven costumes, or any other celebrity your pre-teen & her friends admire. Mix it up a bit with 70’s disco costumes and 80’s neon colored costumes. The girls will love mixing and matching styles and characters.
Pump up the fun by renting a Karaoke machine; let the girls show off their costumes as they sing their favorite songs. Delight the guests with a treat out of the ordinary and rent a chocolate fountain. Give the girls disposable cameras as party favors; they’ll remember the night for a very long time with the pictures they take. You could video tape the night; have the video enhanced with special effects and copied for all the guests.
This will be the ultimate tween party of the season. Don’t forget your older teenager. Sometimes kicking back and acting silly is just what they want.
