How is a Release Performed?
Butterflies can be released in a group called a "Mass Release" from a special container, or they can be"individually" released from a specialized envelope by a person.
All Releases are done outdoors in temperatures above 65 to 70 degrees. Butterflies are cold blooded and therefore are sensitive to temperature. If it is too cold then the butterflies will not be able to fly. Hot days require caution as well. Butterflies need to be in the shade, and never left in direct sunlight.
An ideal place to release the butterflies is in an area with many flowers and protected from wind.
Many people use music to enhance the moment of release.
The butterflies are shipped overnight in envelopes inside a cooler to keep them safe for the journey.
Full Instructions will be given before the buttrflies arrive to provide an unforgetable event.
