Bruce and Chris Westwood purchased the 73-acre ranch at 11838 Civil War Road, Carthage, MO, in the fall of 2012.

Chris fell in love with the ranch on sight, especially the main barn (above), which is more than 100 years old. She had a vision that this old barn could become a beautiful country venue for weddings, parties and other events.

The transformation of the property began in earnest in the spring of 2013. The official Grand Opening was Sept. 28, 2013.

Host your wedding ceremony next to the ranch pond and celebrate your reception in the 1890s barn or in the expansive courtyard. Or, as an alternative, hold your wedding ceremony and reception at the Spring Creek Pavilion in the Woods east of the main barn complex.

Host a rodeo, horse competition, dog show, circus or other events in our large indoor arena that includes stands and concessions.

There's plenty of room on the 77-acre ranch for a multitude of large outdoor/indoor events.

The ranch complex features:

• Two-story wedding/events barn with air-conditioned bridal & groom dressing rooms and restrooms 
• Picturesque 2.5-acre spring-fed pond and dock
• Large outdoor covered Pole Barn
• Expansive Wedding Courtyard flower beds
• Ranch Corn Crib that now offers a wedding decorations lending closet
• 160' by 125' Indoor Arena that is available for equestrian events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
• Spring Creek Pavilion in the Woods that includes a stone-parquet stage, spring-fed well, rocky stream, arched wedding bridge, air-conditioned bridal dressing room, and permanent bench seating for 60 guests and additional seating on the facing slope.
