While dating Neal, we entered into a business arrangement. We bought a lot and began building a "spec" house to sell. Being the frugal number cruncher, I evaluated ever dollar going into the cost of the house. One afternoon Neal asked what type of whirlpool tub and fireplace I wanted. This began an argument. "We don't need both a fireplace and a whirlpool tub." "Yes, we do" said Neal. After 30 minutes of this back and forth, I said "The house will sell the same whether we have a fireplace or a whirlpool tub." Neal replied exasperated "We getting both because we're getting married and living here." As my mouth dropped open I just shock my head ok and that was that. It was the perfect wedding proposal -- practical and romantic.
