Summer weddings have their advantages: warm temperatures, the sunshine, and some of the freshest flowers of the year! If you are planning a wedding for this summer, here are some of the wedding flower trends to look forward to.
The Flowers
Garden Roses
Dahlias
Hydrangea
Delphinium
Gardenias
Peonies
The Colors
Monochromatic colors are taking the stage this season. With Greenery being the color of the year, you won't want a bouquet filled with only greenery, however, greenery will be integrated with wedding flowers in other ways. Blush is still a popular flower color. Look for peaches, cafe au lait, and grays as well. For pops of colors and accents, blue, lavender and all shades of wine will be present.
The Shape
Nature is still having a large influence for weddings and loosely arranged, organic-esque bouquets are perfect for this style.
Ceremony and Reception Flowers
Flower arches are not new to the wedding scene. Hanging flowers and arches, however, are a nice touch to liven up your ceremony flower display. Mason jars are being replaced with antique vessels of mercury glass and galvanized steel, giving a more industrial feel to wedding receptions, and high-low centerpieces will be taking the place of standard one-size-fits-all centerpieces.
