It's been a while!

So it's almost three years since I celebrated 30 years as a professional photographer. I have been President and then Chairman of the Board for the professional organization, Professional Photographers of Mississippi/Alabama. In December we had a splendid time in Pigeon Forge.

I recently was asked by the publisher of Good Life Magazine, in Marshall County, to photograph the wonderful home in The Reserve, an exclusive, beautiful area, rising above the lake, with wonderful views. I used to photograph the homes for the Marshall County Event Magazine in the five years that magazine was published. I so much enjoy that! I can't post photos until it's published though.

During the pandemic, there wasn't as much to do, so I took the opportunity to ride my motorcycle, an Indian Scout Sixty. I was able to go up to Mount Rushmore, and see the Crazy Horse monument nearby. I enjoyed Hannibal, Missouri - I need to return there for the cave tour (think Tom Sawyer) and the German Chocolate Pie (yes, pie, not cake! It's the most melt-in-my-mouth pie I've ever had!

To celebrate we are having an open house at the studio, Saturday April 28, 2-5 pm.
713 Blount Ave

Through the rest of April we have some exciting opportunities

Do you want a half-session? $30
Get an 8x8-inch portrait mounted on artboard with a beveled edge for $30
(can be from a half-session this month or a previous session)

Additionally, through the end of April 2018, double the amount of your purchasing power.
If you pay $50 for instance, you receive a certificate good for $100 (not available with any other offer).

See you Saturday!!!

Certified Professional Photographer

So it's been such a long while since I have updated this blog. Lots has happened! I have been Secretary/Treasurer of the Professional Photographers of Mississippi/Alabama, and this year (2018) I am Vice President of this organization, beginning to plan for next year as my Presidential year.

I have been recertified for another three years as of November 2017. Continuing Education is primary to keep the certification, which shows my competence and artistry in photography. My how things have changed since I was first certified in 1999. I was using film then, also developing, printing, and framing my own b/w art photos. I went digital in 2002, for a while using two cameras at the same time, switching often; one film camera, one digital camera.

As a professional photographer for 30 years now, I still keep learning.
