When planning your wedding, one of the first steps you do is to pick your wedding colors. This seems like a daunting task since these colors will be in every part of your wedding. So this week we have a few tips on helping you choose your wedding color palette.
- Draw Inspiration from Your Location – If you already have your location in mind, draw inspiration from that. Your venue may have colors already worked into the decor so make sure your palette doesn't clash with those.
- Use Swatches – Sometimes it's hard to visualize your colors together. This is where swatches come into play. They can help your visualize how your colors will be together. You may have pink and orange but then you actually see them together, you may change your mind.
- What Mood Do You Want to Create? – Your color creates the mood for your wedding as soon as someone enters your wedding. Are you wanting to create a large, upscale event or a fun and exciting wedding? Color helps create this from the very beginning.
- Lighting is Important – Some may overlook lighting, but it's extremely important. It can have an impact on how your colors look. You can also use your color scheme to create warm and inviting space or to brighten up a room.
- How? – How will you incorporate these colors into your wedding? Think about how you will incorporate your color scheme into your wedding with your flowers, decor and bridesmaid dresses.
