A Local and Friendly Rental
This do-it-yourself generation of brides aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. From meeting with vendors to designing the table decor, the DIY bride wants to call the shots and make their dream wedding a reality.
But some of the details can be daunting. Finding a reception area is sometimes easier than finding, for example, a cotton candy machine rental. So, is being a DIY bride really worth the effort of digging for everything you need?
It sure is when you team up with Rental Centers of America, who work with local DIY brides.
The Little Things
This Southern Missouri business specializes in equipment and party rentals of all types. Whether you need a popcorn machine to complete your carnival party or columns to achieve your romantic wedding theme, they understand that it’s the finishing touches that make your party a roaring success.
Are you putting together a candy buffet for your wedding reception, but don’t have the containers to hold the confectionary? No need to purchase glassware you’ll never use again. Rental Centers has a vast assortment of vases in an array of shapes and sizes that can be used for any decor arrangement.
Friendly and Local
Not everyone knows how to use a snow cone machine, so don’t hesitate to ask for help. This business goes above and beyond to help their customers, especially when those customers don’t know what exactly they are looking for.
Even customers that aren't in the area have had the help of this business when they needed it most. Patsy of Arkansas couldn’t find anyone to help her put together an event, until she called out of state. She had this to say about her experience:
“Thank you for helping us although you really didn't service this area. Our benefit we have scheduled would have been a disaster without you.”
With a local business like Rental Centers of America, you don’t have to look far to find what you need or a friendly hand either!
Vintage Wedding Style
The vintage style has been a wedding trend that has taken over weddings of all seasons. But what exactly is a vintage wedding and how do you put one together? Wedding and Party Network has the tips and tricks to make your wedding the vintage fantasy you have been dreaming of.
Defining Vintage
Vintage means something old-fashioned making a reappearance in the modern world–bringing back the elegance and daintiness of another era.
What's so great about this theme/style is the use of antiques with some DIY. This theme emphasizes use of thrift finds in decor and using mismatched dinnerware for the table setting.
Dressing up
Vintage is centered around bringing back the old-fashioned looks. For grooms, the use of suspenders and for brides, think lots of lace. Forego the long veils and consider a headband or a birdcage veil.
The goal is to look romantic and delicate–maybe even throwing in some wears from Grandma's wedding!
Unique and Elegant
The goal of the vintage look is to look outside the traditional decor and food to make something truly intimate. Many brides enjoy the use of pictures and old typewriters as pretty decor that tells a story rather than just look pretty.
A vintage wedding can be as simple or as extravagant as a bride wants. It takes a lot of flea marketing weekends and creativity to put together.
If you are an old soul that wants to bring a little flashback to your wedding, consider going vintage. For more ideas and tips, check back to Wedding and Party Network's Celebration Blog.

2014 Winter Wedding Trends
Even though summer has recently arrived, there is just enough time to plan for a white wedding and Wedding & Party Network has this year's most popular winter wedding trends.
When brides think of a winter wedding, some may picture turquoise or light blues and silver while others go for the deep reds of Christmas. However, this year blushes of pink and tones of gold have been making their way onto the winter wedding color swatch. Consider neutral colors like greys and tans, and even pair some colors rarely seen during the season, like mint or deep purple, which go well with neutrals.
Winter Flowers
Unless you are planning on having your wedding in the snow, bring the outdoors indoors by incorporating rustic plants along with your flowers. Holly and pine needles add to the winter theme of your wedding. You can also add these plants of the season with your reception arrangements. Baby's breath can be incorporated into all your arrangements due to its likeness to snowflakes; make your bouquet full of baby's breath and it will seem as if you are holding a bundle of snow.
Wedding Decor
Make your guests smile with a little taste of winter. Set up a hot chocolate bar with jars full of marshmallows and candy canes to stir. Add other drink options like coffee or hot tea for those who aren't fans of the sweet drink. Fill apothecary vases with marshmallows of different sizes, candy canes, and small chocolates. Both guests young and old will have fun making their wintry concoction and be grateful for the warm snack. This snack serves as both food and unique decor.
You can get really creative with themed goodies like gingerbread cookies for dessert and eggnog cocktails for adults. Add a twist to the famous chestnuts roasting by dipping chestnuts in chocolate and coating them with sprinkles in your wedding colors.
Favors
Anything from snowflake shaped sugar cookies to homemade hot cocoa mix can make great wedding favors for your guests. Something they would really appreciate are some gloves, mittens, or even blankets as favors, and don't wait until after the party to give them out. Have baskets filled with them near the entrance of your reception or by the hot cocoa bar. Give them a personal touch by engraving the guest's name or the wedding date. Every time they wear the gloves or cuddle with the blanket, they will have memories of the great day they shared with you.
Personalize your winter wedding with the season in mind. Check back with the Wedding & Party Network for more wedding tips and trends.
Sail Away with Me – The Ultimate Destination Wedding Theme
There comes a time in everyone’s wedding planning when you start to think of places you would like your wedding. The church you’ve been going to since birth, the vineyard 20 miles up the road or the land your grandparents own all seem to come into play and are unique to every couple. Well, except one. The beach may seem like a huge hassle for those of you who want to invite 250 people, but for those looking for a destination wedding that grabs the culture of the beach without strangling it, read on.
“Sail Away with Me” was my theme when I wanted a beach wedding at one point in my life, so all these ideas have been laid out to perfectly align together. I know! I know! You’re welcome. Ok, so here were my first thoughts, “I don’t want it to be cheesy.” Same here, sister, no one wants your wedding to be cheesy and that starts out with colors.
Wedding Decor:- Main Colors: Navy and Starch White
- Accent Colors: Anything cream and natural, such as starfish, seashells or pearls. Stay away from reds, or other bright colors to keep the elegance of the navy, white and cream.
- Vases: Big round glass vases in sea glass colors or clear will add height and dimension to your seaside wedding.
- Arrangements: Remember to stick tall dried grass or your favorite summer arrangements in large tall quantities. You could also add smaller vases to even out the area.
- Lanterns: These are a huge obsession of mine and so is the color white. It just makes sense to have white lanterns at your wedding. I found mine at IKEA (made of real glass and they're pretty sturdy) that were pretty budget friendly , but don’t forget to check out TJ Maxx and Marshalls. You can stick seashells in the lanterns or candles depending on the time of day.
- Wooden Arches: They are a huge hit on the beach. They can be white or a natural wood color with sheer white curtains to add to the elegance of your dress.
- Pillows for Chairs: Depending on how formal your wedding will be, the extra expense for chairs may just be a pain. Laying out matching blankets and chairs can send an ambience for your guests to sit back, relax and enjoy the romance.
Reception Decor
- Long Tables: If you are creating your own reception area, I would personally adore long tables. They feel so much more intimate instead of splitting your party into circles. Plus, its way easier to decorate long tables with long runners and garland
- Napkins: Brides can have a field day on napkins even if they are paper. Luckily, I have two suggestions for you. (1) Take grey linen looking cloth napkins and find a stencil that relates to your wedding and simply paint it in blue paint. It can be “LOVE” like the picture below or your new name. If you are using white napkins, simply wrap them in navy and white ribbon and a twig of rosemary adds a touch of your theme, while the rosemary leaves a refreshing scent.
- Seashells: What is something so natural and beautiful in a large abundance at the beach? Seashell! Seashells can be used for candles (Simply, pour wax into the belly of the shell and add a wick.) The seashell candles will be a beautiful hit at your reception table. or under a beautiful coral and candle arrangement! Wouldn’t those scream elegance on your seaside wedding?
Whatever you decide for your beach side wedding, just remember, you are there to relax and enjoy the wedding, but who doesn’t love to plan a delicate and classy wedding? We all do! So enjoy planning your “Sail Away with Me” Destination Wedding!
