Ask The Celebration Advisor
I was wondering if it is appropriate to wear cream to the rehearsal dinner? I know that you should reserve white for the bride on her big day, but is it ok to wear a cream and gold skirt and top to the dinner?

Hi Lindsay,Finding something to wear for a rehearsal dinner is tricky depending on the formality of the dinner. Normally white/ivory is reserved for the bride. However, you may want to check with her and see what she's wearing. A lot of brides like to wear white to show off that they're the bride, while some stick to maybe a black dress.
So, I think in this situation it is better to ask what the bride is wearing. You should be fine in a cream and gold skirt with a matching top, however, you never know how some brides may feel and it's their day. Hope this helps!
Wedding Tip: Always keep in mind the formality of the event. If you're unsure, ASK! You may not want to bother the bride with a simple question like that, but remember, it's just a simple question that she'll be able to answer in a minute. She'll appreciate the fact that you asked.
