Having a ring warming in your wedding is a wonderful way to involve all of your guests in your wedding ceremony. A ring warming is when each of your guests gets the opportunity to hold your wedding bands and bless it with a prayer for a long and healthy marriage. This loving tradition dates back to the continent of Africa in the country of Egypt. It is widely believed that precious metals hold energy. The more enduring the object, the more the energy will be absorbed. In the Warming ceremonies that Rev Pam holds, she addresses the guests similar to this; "These are the wedding rings of Michelle and Noah, now blessed with their intent. You, Beloved Guests, are in attendance here as the most important people in this couple’s lives. As the couple exchange vows, I invite you to please pass the rings between you. When you hold them, I ask that you place your most powerful thoughts and prayers of protection and blessings for the couple into the rings. When the rings return to the couple, they will be saturated with your love and support. This is the traditions of the warming or charging of the wedding rings. If you are the last one with the rings hold them until I ask for them." After each guest has blessed the rings Rev Pam will continue on in saying: "May I have the rings," the rings are then collected from the guests. ( The couple lay their hands on the rings in Rev Pam's Hands) "These are your wedding rings. Now warm from your friends and families blessings and love. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you be reminded of the amazing support you have around you and the strength of your own commitment to each other and the promises you made here today."
