Keeping everyone cool in the middle of July can be a chore. A pool party is a great way to cool down, but safety is also a must! Here are a few tips to help keep your pool party safe and fun!
1. Life Jackets and Floaties
Not all children know how to swim, or can’t swim very well. This applies to adults as well. Keep some extra inflatables around so everyone can have a good time. You can find these in almost any shape and size, so if you have a theme, match them to it!
2. Supervision
Everyone wants to have fun at a pool party. Make sure that happens by having plenty of supervision. There should be at least two adults present at all times, possibly more depending on the amount of kids. If you know a child can’t swim, keep them in the shallow end.
3. For Adults
Nothing beats the heat like a refreshing drink, just don’t have too many. Be responsible, and use caution.
4. Sunscreen
Sunburns are not fun, and can cause more damage down the road. Slather on the sunscreen (at least SPF 15). Make sure to reapply after long breaks, or if someone towels off.
5. Hire a local lifeguard if needed.
If you are worried about having enough supervision, consider hiring a local lifeguard. They are trained, and most probably wouldn’t mind making a little extra money. This can take some of the stress off of you and allow you to enjoy the party!

Planning a wedding is a daunting task and minor details can easily slip through the cracks. Avoid any emergencies on your wedding day by reading through this list of details that brides tend to forget.
1. Bring the legal documents
This is the most important part to make your wedding official! Research the application process for a marriage license long before your wedding date. Sometimes a blood test and other documentation is required. Gather this information early so that after your ceremony you are ready to go!
2. Select a transportation manager
Rallying your bridal party together to get them from point A to point B can be a difficult task. Ask someone you know with good leadership skills to make sure that everyone is where they are supposed to be.
3. Bring the chargers
A phone charger seems like an easy item to remember but is often forgotten. Create a short checklist of items to grab from your room to throw in your overnight bag or purse before you walk out the door.
4. Pick someone to take home your things
Most wedding day planning ends after the last dance at the reception. There are several item though like your guest book, leftover food and decorations that have to be cleaned up and taken home. Ask your immediate family or a small group of friends to grab these items for you as they leave.

Daniel Tiger Food
Tiger tails—pretzel sticks dipped in orange colored almond bark and drizzled with regular milk chocolate.
Mandarin Orange Fruit Cups—except turn them upside down! Drawing little tiger faces on these with a permanent marker is such an easy and cheap snack!
Cake—anything tiger striped should do the trick! If you are making your own cake, try making a round layer. Use buttercream for a delicious, cheap and easy icing. Color the icing orange and drizzle with chocolate to make it look like stripes!
Not interested in a cake? Cupcakes are an easy alternative. Try using an icing bag with a star tip for a more clean look. It is easier than you think! Drizzle with tiger stripes of course.
